In this video viewers have an opportunity to visit AirPro’s Performance Testing Lab where shop technicians and engineers test our fan product lines before release. The lab includes two sections, the Chamber Room and the Sound Room.
The Chamber Room
In the Chamber Room, we test static pressure and air volume using auxiliary fans and dampers to control flow and simulate system pressures. Nozzle walls and flow straighteners ensure precise performance curves. During testing, we run fans at full speed, closing dampers to throttle flow and generate various pressure conditions. We adjust static pressure with the auxiliary fans to create an entire fan performance curve, from zero pressure at maximum airflow to the maximum pressure with zero airflow.
The Sound Room
In the sound room, we focus on physically testing products and capturing their sound levels. We designed the room to reverberate, allowing us to accurately capture the eight octave bands of sound. Our microphone operates on a sweep to capture average sound levels within the room. Every fan design must go through this rigorous testing to ensure that it will perform in the field as intended.
Trust the Process
Our numbers are exact without any bump applied to the promised air performance. What we test matches what the customer receives. With proven air performance, customers can rest easy, confident that AirPro fans deliver the required airflow and pressures to keep equipment and operations running as intended.
