Check It Off. Avoid Downtime.

Wear and tear in your industrial fans and blowers is completely normal. In fact, it’s impossible to avoid, given all of the moving parts and the often abrasive or corrosive elements moving through them. But that does not need to lead to catastrophic downtime. We put together this 9-step preventative maintenance checklist for equipment to help you avoid fan failure and save you days, weeks, or more of downtime.

How to Repair a Fan Bearing After Failure

Fan bearing failure is quite avoidable with appropriate greasing, maintenance, monitoring, and end-of-L10-life replacement. Still, bearing failure is the number one issue we get calls about. And on top of that, the number one reason for bearing failures is the lack of lubrication. Because it’s so common, we want to make sure you know how to repair a fan bearing after failure.

Showing Our Support for the Fuel and Ethanol Industry

We’re powering up to exhibit at the 38th annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo (FEW) the “largest, longest-running ethanol conference in the world—and the only event powered by Ethanol Producer Magazine,” from June 13-15 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

How to Grease Fan Bearings for Installation and Maintenance

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times. Lack of bearing lubrication is one of the most common causes of failure in an industrial fan. There’s only one way to avoid that type of failure, and that’s proper, regular management of fan bearing grease. But we don’t always go into much detail about how to do that.

Attending the Cement Industry Conference Focused on Sustainable Strength through Innovation

Now that we’ve gotten a taste of in-person trade shows, we just can’t get enough! This time we’re headed to Las Vegas May 1-5 to engage with the cement industry at the 2022 IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Conference.

Common Types of Fan Bearings Explained

No matter what kind of centrifugal fan you have, you can be sure that it has bearings in its connection to the motor. The bearings enable movement in this heavy-duty industrial machinery. There are two configurations and three common types of fan bearings, which we will outline below.

Attending the Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo (PELICE) and the Wood Bioenergy Conference & Expo (Bioenergy)

It’s so great to get back out there to engage directly with the industries we serve and support. After our recent productive showing at the International Biomass Conference & Expo, we’re ready for more. Now we’re headed to Atlanta to engage with the engineered wood products industry at two consecutive conferences: the Wood Bioenergy Conference & Expo (Bioenergy) March 29-30, and the Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo (PELICE) March 31 – April 1, 2022. Both events are supported by Wood Bioenergy and Panel World magazines, and Georgia Research Institute.

Expanding Production Capacity to Meet Demand and Exceed Expectations

We’ve been fortunate to experience record demands over the past few years, and have grown right along with it at a dizzying pace. In 2021, we announced a plant expansion and dramatic workforce growth. Since then, we have succeeded in expanding production capacity at our existing facilities by 30 percent. It’s made a great difference in our ability to keep up with the needs of our customers even during continued material cost and supply chain challenges.

Attending the 15th Annual International Biomass Conference & Expo

We never stopped serving the biomass industry – in fact, we’ve been busier than ever – but after the past couple of years with no opportunity to gather in person, we’re more than ready for the 15th annual International Biomass Conference & Expo, March 14-16 in Jacksonville, FL. Actually, the Nashville Biomass Conference in 2020 was one of the last events we attended before the pandemic shut everything down, so it’s extremely fitting that it’s our first conference back after all that time.
