We built this induced draft radial tipped fan for a wet scrubber with a saturated airstream. This application called for an abrasion-resistant wheel and housing with scroll liners and a flexible direct coupled drive. The heavy-duty self-cleaning Radial Tipped Fan delivers process control, stability, and high static efficiency while resisting material buildup on the wheel and impeller.
Many industries (Chemical, Food & Dairy Processing, Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Mining, and Building Materials for example) use wet scrubbers to clean air, fuel gas, and other pollutant gases and particulates from their processes. Wet scrubbers use water and various reagents to remove the hazardous gases or particulates from the airstream. That’s why this installation chose a highly efficient, corrosion-resistant, adaptable radial tip fan.
