Welcome to AirPro

Welcome to this virtual tour of AirPro Fan and Blower Company, where we manufacture reliable fans and blowers for our extensive customer base around the world. In this video we provide a bird’s eye view of our three manufacturing locations in Rhinelander, WI and learn about our processes: from design to shipping.

Our plants are named according to their geographical location within the city of Rhinelander. Let’s begin in the office, and then go through each manufacturing location.

Office

Our office teams work in Cody, Wyoming and at our three locations in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Our experienced Application Engineers work with sales reps and customers to determine the best fan for their application. Once we determine the job specifications and approve the design, the customer places the order and our Project Management and Design teams get to work. These two teams complete detailed drawings and 3D models and send to our Purchasing team to order all necessary parts. We then create shop work orders with detailed prints and fabrication instructions for our Manufacturing team.

East Location

At the East plant, we receive and sort raw materials organized on pallets. Here we cut structural steel from flat bar, angle iron, and channel, while steel shapes are laser cut from sheet and plate material. We also stock various components, such as bearings, spinnings, and other longer lead time items.

North Plant

Fabrication, finishing, assembly, and testing all happen at our North Plant.  At North we weld the remaining fan components, housing, pedestals, and unitary bases. We then assemble these components after welding to ensure an accurate fit, before moving to the finishing area, where we clean or blast all surfaces before painting. After painting, everything moves into the assembly area where we bolt together welded components and install motors and drive components.

At this point we run the fans at full speed and test to ensure everything works properly and vibration levels are acceptable.  Once we complete the testing, the fans move into the final assembly area. We install OSHA safety guards, apply labels, and perform final QC inspection. Everything is then palletized, prepared for shipping, and loaded onto trucks for shipment.
