For many industrial fan customers, the key priority is getting the right amount of airflow at the right price without paying for unnecessary features. That was the case for a recent project where a customer in California needed a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution to deliver ambient air into a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer. Rather than an industrial-duty fan built for extreme environments, this application called for a practical, streamlined approach—one that AirPro was well-positioned to deliver with the P10C 275 pressure blower.
Combustion Air
Pressure Blower for a Combustion Burner on a Thermal Oxidizer
Introducing the P06A, a key component of our innovative P## series of pressure blowers. We are pleased to highlight this compact yet powerful blower, meticulously engineered for a combustion burner on a thermal oxidizer for a valued customer in Texas.
With a focus on robust construction, we built a process fan on a combustion blower for an industrial heater application. This installation called for a backward curved blower with a direct-drive motor and an outlet damper with an electric actuator and positioner. We designed it with fewer parts to reduce maintenance in the industrial environment.
The quick-ship combustion blower for this burner application comes from our Backward-Inclined Quick Ship (BIQS) line of highly-efficient off-the-shelf fans with pre-set performance ranges specifically designed to meet the time-constrained demands of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Backward Curved Models Now Offer Smaller Fan Sizes
We are excited to announce the expansion of our Backward Curved models to include fans with wheel diameters below 27 inches. Combustion Air and other Forced Draft applications often require fans designed for low airflows at higher pressures, and we have traditionally supplied our high-pressure blower models for these applications. But our customers started asking us for fans with lower horsepower requirements, and our product development team set out to expand our offerings with more efficient options.
AirPro recently built a couple of high pressure blowers for a US paper mill upgrading their power-generating boiler system from coal to biomass. The blowers are supplying the combustion air for the new burner system. Special attention had to be given to proper pressure and air flow as the blowers were required to be located a floor below the actual boiler due to space restrictions. AirPro supplied the fan skid complete with inlet filters/silencers and installed the damper/actuator system, designed and supplied by the plant manager/project engineer overseeing the project.
