For this carbon recycling plant system application, we designed and delivered a drop-in high-pressure blower to replace a competitor’s product. It features a Kynar coated wheel with a stainless steel shaft, rubber-lined housing, custom exterior coating color, a shrouded wheel design, increased wheel width, and an outlet damper to throttle the air as it leaves the fan.
We built this forced-draft, high-pressure blower with a surgeless design on a unitary base for a milling operation processing corn in an ethanol plant. The application called for an inlet elbow, functioning as an inlet box to address the space constraints and minimize the impact on fan performance. To eliminate catch points for material, external welds are continuous and ground smooth.
We provided a set of three fans for this thermal oxidizer application designed for pollution control at a copper purification, treatment, and manufacturing plant.
Our customer requested an expedited delivery on Monday because they needed the fan ASAP. Sales promised a 5-day delivery. Engineering provided an accurate, customer-specific design. In two days Manufacturing built a rugged, industrial duty fan with custom dimensions. By Friday, 4 days following confirmation of expedited ship date, the fan had been balanced, painted, assembled, trimmed, and shipped.
