Application: Food Processing
We here at AirPro love candy, so it was with great enthusiasm that our engineers designed this size 200 BCMS fan for an international confectionary outfit that makes popular candies. A BCMS fan was selected to meet the medium volume clean air requirement at moderate static pressure.
This spray drying application for a dairy facility in Minnesota required a food grade fan to facilitate the production of whey protein. It features a backward curved BCLS fan with a narrowly housed 42-inch wheel that can reach up to 1947 rpm.
We recently provided a cooling fan for a cheese plant with food-grade construction to comply with food safety standards.
The spray dryer supply fan application uses a custom backward-curved fan with epoxy exterior coating, and continuously welded airstream interior parts made of 304 Stainless Steel with SSPC-SP10 bead blast surface preparation. With a split housing, vibration switch, split vibration isolators, pressure tap connections, and an outlet transition to round, this fan is heavy-duty and food-grade.
We provided a backward curved dust collection fan for this food processing plant application. The selected model is among our most efficient, moving medium volumes of air at high static pressures with static efficiencies as high as 80 percent. In this induced draft application, we incorporated an inlet box with expansion joints on the fan inlet and outlet, and spring vibration isolators.
September’s story involves the Cheese & Whey industry. AirPro built four fans for a northeastern dairy processing facility. All fans, installed on a whey production system, were required to pass USDA food-safety inspection. The pictured fan, processing the hot air at the outlet of the dryer, included 304 Stainless Steel airstream parts (APIC).
