This particular fan was the second of two custom retrofit fans for a pharmaceutical plant. Originally manufactured by a company that is now out of business these fans failed seven years apart. Our application engineers took measurements of the existing fans on-site to design, build, and slip upgraded duplicates into place.

We designed this custom high-pressure stainless steel industrial fan with all the food-grade bells and whistles for a food plant. The design includes 304 stainless steel airstream parts, stainless steel guards, white epoxy on carbon steel parts, Nitrile gaskets, and a Ferrule drain. It’s also designed for fan bearing protection, with bearing RTDs, spring vibration isolators, and a vibration 4-20mA sensor mounted on the fan base.
We provided a backward curved dust collection fan for this food processing plant application. The selected model is among our most efficient, moving medium volumes of air at high static pressures with static efficiencies as high as 80 percent. In this induced draft application, we incorporated an inlet box with expansion joints on the fan inlet and outlet, and spring vibration isolators.
We designed this paddlewheel exhaust fan for a food-grade cyclone application. Basic features included a slip-fit inlet, outlet transition to a round slip fit, spring vibration isolators, and an Arrangement 1 belt drive with a unitary base. Making this fan food-grade required a full complement of custom components, finishes. and materials of construction, including:
We designed an extremely custom high-pressure, high-temperature steam exhaust fan for this emerging green energy technology application. The fan needed to handle very high temperatures up to 1300°F. For that, we used a stainless steel fan casing/housing, a special multi-carbon ring shaft seal, a monobloc bearing assembly with mist oil lubrication, an alloy 625 rotor with a special design for stresses induced by static, dynamic, and thermal loads. We also machined mounting surfaces for the bearing assembly and motor drive.
We delivered a custom high-temperature, high-pressure fan for a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) application. Designed for temperatures as high as 840°F, the fan has a carbon ring shaft seal, a monobloc fan bearing assembly with oil lubrication, exterior fan insulation, and a raised access door with a flush interior design for the exterior insulation.
In this installation example, we designed and delivered a high-efficiency induced draft fan for a hemp dryer system. The system uses the fan to pull air and particles through, controlling flow using an inlet damper.
We produced this high-temperature burner fan with an efficient backward-curved design and a max temperature of 800°F. The custom design includes thermal insulation for a safe skin temperature and a heavy-duty fan base to prevent vibration.
We provided these custom high-pressure SCR blowers (one primary with an identical redundant/backup blower) for this mission-critical Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) application. Designed for high-temperature operation at 800 degrees max design temperature with a tight 15-degree min/max rate of temperature change. The blowers have 15 HP IEEE841-rated premium-efficiency, severe-duty motors to meet the high standard required for operation in the petroleum and chemical industry.
We designed a high-temperature purge fan for this regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) system application. The purge fan blade profile is backward curved to process high airflow at medium pressures. Customized to handle high temperatures, the application called for inlet and outlet expansion joints, and 2” thick insulated housing and inlet box, and an Arrangement 8 direct-coupled drive motor.
We built this induced draft radial tipped fan for a wet scrubber with a saturated airstream. This application called for an abrasion-resistant wheel and housing with scroll liners and a flexible direct coupled drive. The heavy-duty self-cleaning Radial Tipped Fan delivers process control, stability, and high static efficiency while resisting material buildup on the wheel and impeller.
For this industrial oven exhaust application, we custom designed a high-temperature plug fan. The design incorporated forward-curved blades, housing, a 12 inch insulated plug, belt drive, and a unitary base, with a heat slinger on the shaft to help dissipate heat from the oven.
In this Kaolin Mining installation, we provided an induced draft fan for dust collection. Kaolin (hydrated aluminum silicate) is a high-value, high-volume industrial clay used largely in the production of paper, as well as ceramics, cement, fiberglass, and many other industrial production processes. Its naturally fine particles mean dust collection is critical in the mining process for air quality improvement and safety.
We designed this material handling fan to replace a competitor fan wheel, which had been failing every week. It’s used for moving a mixture of copper and aluminum shavings in this industrial metal-making application. After months of operation, our replacement is in good working condition.
