Ben Cooper and Dominion Carolina Sales, representing AirPro in industrial process equipment solutions in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia for two decades and counting.

AirPro customers depend on local experts like our manufacturer’s representatives (reps), who know industrial applications inside and out.  One of those reps is Dominion Carolina Sales, representing AirPro in Virginia and the Carolinas since 2003.

Dominion Carolina owner Ben Cooper works closely with our application engineers to design and deliver reliable, high-quality centrifugal fans for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Ben recently took over as the owner of Dominion Carolina and was happy to share what makes Dominion Carolina successful.

Ben emphasized “Our policy has always been to represent a few good companies and do an excellent job rather than represent many companies and do a mediocre job. Our policy has worked.”

About Dominion Carolina Sales

For 76 years Dominion Carolina has been providing the industry’s best process equipment in the Southeast region. In 1947 the late Dean Thomas founded Dominion Carolina Sales, Inc., covering Virginia to South Carolina. Dominion has a distinguished history as a Manufacturer’s Rep, and Ben Cooper intends to continue the tradition of representing some of the best companies in the industry, including AirPro. Ben, a Clemson engineering grad, joined Dominion Carolina in 2020 and brought with him advanced experience in machine automation.

Dominion, now headquartered in Greensboro, NC, wishes to provide cost-effective process equipment without skimping on quality, making AirPro a perfect match as one of the companies Dominion represents. Doing business with Dominion means buying directly from the factory with no “buy-resell” margins added to the price. As an independent company, Dominion can afford to represent manufacturers who offer the best value with the highest quality.

Dominion Carolina provides equipment needs for a wide variety of industries, including Energy, Environmental, Food Packaging, Mining, Manufacturing, Pollution Control, and Thermal Coating. Ben recently talked about the variety of applications and industries Dominion services:

“We don’t have the luxury of being limited to a handful of applications we work with because our customers span everything from food and pharmaceuticals to aggregates. That means we do everything from taking fan readings for end user retrofits to working with OEMs on a broad range of fan solutions,” Ben explains. “We are continually focused on breaking out of singular verticals and being competent to handle any fan application, and we’re always thinking of our customers, striving to make it easy for them not only to do business with us but also to facilitate their direct work with the select companies that we represent to drive their operations.”

How AirPro and Dominion Carolina Deliver Industrial Process Equipment Together

Since Dominion Carolina focuses on industrial process equipment, many of their projects require process air, which is why Ben chooses to partner with AirPro.

“I’m proud to say that AirPro embodies this simple but profound virtue – they make a good product and sell it for a fair price – and that’s the kind of company you want to represent. AirPro and its employees operate their business with integrity and seem to really seek to provide the best possible equipment and service to our customers.”
